ZACHARO

Zacharo is a very beautiful town right next to the sea, perfect for your summer holidays here in the Peloponnese.
It is approximately 7km southeast from Pyrgos.
Zaharo
has a very organized tourism infrastructure with hotels, restaurants, tavernas
and cafes, all of which are ready to accommodate you and offer you their
services. The village’s beach is one of the most beautiful in Greece, with thin sand and crystal blue waters.
It is situated 3km from the famous village of Kaiafas, and is an ideal destination for your holidays here in the Peloponnese.
2km from the village is the interesting site of "Triphiliaki Pilos", which excavations that took place here in 1907, brought to the light three tombs, one of which belonged to Nestor, the Homeric King.
Later in the very same tomb a gold ring was found, which is believed to belong to the King Nestor.
