VARTHOLOMIO

Vartholomio is a very beautiful tourist resort
through which the river Pinios flows. It is 5 km from Gastouni and has a connection with the KTEL buses and the OSE train network through Gastouni.
Vartholomio is very organized for the touristism industry, and offers a selection of accommodation in the hotels and the rooms to let which operate from the village.
There are also a selection of tavernas, restaurants, cafes and bars. According the mythology, the village was founded by the Frank Knight Bartholomew, who was married to Ligia, a very beautiful Greek girl.
