KASTRO KILLINIS ( KASTRO'S CASTLE )

The small and tourist village of Killinis is most famous for it's castle,
which
was actually one of the most important forts in the Peloponnese. Located 44km northwest from the city of Pyrgos, the Chlemoutsi castle, was built on the top of a 250 meter hill by the Frank Prince Gottfried Vileardouin.
The view from the castle is simply magnificent and you will be rewarded with a panoramic view, towards the Hiliace Valley, the stunning Ionian islands, and parts of mainland Greece, between Killini and the famous spring baths of Killini.
A visit to the castle provides an interesting excursion for any visitors who may be in the region, and is well worth visiting.
